2 months in 1 post, Part 1

I'm a bad blogger.... but I'm a good blog hopper!!

I'm going to catch you up on the last 4 months and then promise to update more frequently!

January
- Jake and I took a much needed trip back to Bowling Green to see all our lovely friends. Ate at all our favorite restaurants, had a game night with our faves and spent a night in Nashville!

- A local KC magazine, EA Bride used a picture from my wedding in their magazine. They were talking about cute hair accessories and they used the pic of my hair broach I used. This was my grandma's broach so of course I had to use it!!

February
- One of my good friends down here
, Amber Lanning, asked me to help design her Grand Opening for her new photography studio. Amber is very talented! She shot our wedding and I love to see all her newborn pics. Check out her blog here. We picked a fun pink and lime green color palate and came up with all kinds of fun details! There was such a good turn-out and my little treat table turned out pretty cute! I'm loving cupcakes and pinwheels!! My friend Candace, of Candie Cardz created that adorable sign in the middle. She is so talented! Check out her blog here

Consider this part one of catching you up! Wait until you see part two!!

My Perfect Wedding

Maybe I had the cutest wedding ever!! It's so hard to narrow itdown to the best fewpictures but I'll do my best.
Our wedding was in Weston, Missouri and the ceremony took place in an apple orchard while the reception was in an open-air barn
So many details made this wedding exactly how I wanted it,and I couldn't have done it without my mom. I didn't want the traditional wedding, I wanted a "country chic" wedding that would be remembered by everyone who attended. I wanted good food, good entertainment and a laid back environment loaded with cute details!

Here are a few of the detail shots!
Play by play:
Square 1: my AMAZING shoes I wore
Square 2: the fellas ties
Square 3: Our reception footwear
Square 4: my grandma's broach that I wore
Square 5: cute shirts me and my girls wore wedding day
Square 6: Jake's droop boutiniere
Square 7: Ring bears little Converse shoes
Square 8: Bridesmaids dresses with flowers my my mom
Square 9: Bridesmaids shoes

My stunning bouquet made by Kelly from Monarch Flowers in Kansas City. I LOVED all my flowers so much!!

My wedding party was so fun and full of all our favorite people. It was so fun picking out the outfits for bridesmaids/ groomsmen, but my favorite was coordinating the ring bearer and flower girls.

TOMORROW: I'll post reception details
NEXT WEEK: DIY project for fall

First comes love....

Then comes MARRIAGE!!!! [we'll finish the rest of that rhyme sooner than later hopefully] :-)

Here goes round 2 of keeping up with a blog. I thought I would try again since now I have a husband and a dog in my life! This is our new little family blog. The goal I have is to attempt to share recipes, cute craft ideas, decorating nonsense, and of course update you on the things that happen in my life, as a new little wife!

Obviously, the latest thing that happened in my life: I married Jake!! For the last 8 months planning a wedding has consumed my life and I loved every second of it. I'm sad that it's over but love the new direction my life is headed. To put it nicely, our wedding was so stinkin' adorable!!! I'll post pictures soon to show you some of the details that my mom and I worked on continuously to make this wedding perfect!

Tomorrow: Wedding pics!
